The Kinkaid School in Houston is seeking an experienced Adjunct Boys Varsity Tennis Head Coach for a part-time, seasonal assignment from late January 2027 through early May 2027.

The role includes team selection, coordinating practices, attending matches, ranking the team, and assisting with scheduling and directing assistant coaches.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of tennis coaching experience at the secondary level and a commitment to an education-based athletic program.

• Demonstrated knowledge of team and individual tennis.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for team selection of Boys Varsity Tennis, including logistics, communication, and facilitating tryouts.
• Coordinate and runs practice.
• Attend scheduled matches, which are mostly weekdays and some Saturdays.
• Coordinate challenges and tennis rankings of the team.
• Help Program Head with scheduling and directing the assistant coaches, as needed.
• Develop student-athletes' tennis skills and strategies.
• Model the Teacher-Coach-Mentor philosophy.
• Keep and submit lineups and communicate any changes to the team.
• Maintain and facilitate communication with student-athletes and parents.
