Job summary

The Bishop’s School in La Jolla, CA seeks a dedicated High School Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach to lead the boys lacrosse program across Varsity, JV, and Middle School levels. This part-time seasonal role includes pre-season, spring season, and playoffs, starting December 1, 2026.

Responsibilities include planning practices, developing players, upholding CIF rules, coordinating game film analysis with HUDL, and managing program logistics.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience leading lacrosse programs at high school level.
• Ability to mentor student-athletes and uphold program standards.
• Knowledge of CIF rules and competition standards.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel with team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead effective daily practices and team activities.
• Prepare student-athletes for interscholastic competition while emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
• Maintain knowledge of CIF and applicable league rules and regulations.
• Communicate regularly with student-athletes regarding goals, development, and expectations.
• Evaluate individual and team performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor and support the physical development and well-being of student-athletes through appropriate training methods.
• Maintain team records, documentation, and reports as required.
• Utilize HUDL game film system to enhance game analysis, player development, and program engagement.
• Assist with the organization and management of home contests and program logistics.
• Transport students in school vehicles when necessary and in accordance with school policies.
• Other duties as assigned
