Clayton County Public Schools in Jonesboro, GA is seeking a Boys Track Head Coach (Certified CCPS Employee) to oversee the North Clayton Middle program. The role provides coaching, supervision, and program oversight for the boys track and field team, reporting to the School Site Athletic Director and Principal.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and coaches students on the fundamentals of track and field.
• Works with the coaching staff with setting rules, policies and regulations for the team.
• Has oversight in proper registration of athletes.
• Has oversight with coordinating and monitoring try-outs.
• Has oversight with coordinating and supervising practice schedule.
• Has oversight or assists in the supervisory control over athletes and teams assigned.
• Guides and encourages secondary school age student athletes to make appropriate decisions about further participation in sport(s) at a level appropriate to their ability.
• Works closely with other staff to coordinate completion and opportunities.
• Initiates where appropriate.
• Works with other partners to help monitor the impact of delivery and healthy lifestyles.
• All other duties as assigned and required in order to perform the above services.
