Qualifications

• Certificate of Completion for CT Coaching Education Module 15.
• CT DOE Coach permit or Temporary Coach permit validity required.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certificates are required.
• High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Lifeguard Certification is required for swimming duties.
• Successful completion of the pre-employment process.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach in planning and scheduling regular practice sessions in season.
• Assist with end of year inventory and awards information as requested.
• Assist with team rosters and attendance records as requested.
• Help improve the program and oversee athlete behavior during practices and events.
• Ensure safety of facilities and supervise student athletes at all times.
• Assist with scheduling contests and transportation when applicable.
• Communicate with teachers to support student success and with head coach on strategies.
• Maintain records and assist in equipment purchases when appropriate.
