Boys Lacrosse - Varsity Head Coach at Boston Latin School

Position Overview

Boston Latin School, the nation’s oldest public school, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach to lead and develop a highly competitive interscholastic lacrosse program. The ideal candidate will foster athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and personal growth while upholding the academic and ethical standards of Boston Latin School and Boston Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct daily practices and competitions
• Develop student‑athletes’ lacrosse skills, tactical understanding, teamwork, and sportsmanship
• Supervise and mentor assistant coaches
• Ensure player safety and adherence to all BPS, MIAA, DCL, and school policies
• Communicate effectively with student‑athletes, families, athletic administration, and school staff
• Promote academic achievement, character development, and positive conduct
• Manage team logistics, including equipment, uniforms, transportation, and game preparation
• Attend required athletic department meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
• Support off‑season player development and program growth initiatives
