Job Description

The Boys JV Assistant Basketball Coach will assist the Head Coach in managing the basketball program, ensuring the development of student-athletes, and promoting good sportsmanship.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year of coaching experience as an Assistant or Head Coach preferred. Must have extensive knowledge of the rules and skills in basketball; must be program-centered; must exhibit good sportsmanship; must have knowledge of VHSL rules and work well with children. Previously competed at the college level, club team, or professional level is preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Work may involve exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
• Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for several hours per day.
• Work environment may involve minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating heavy and/or dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
