Rockcastle County School District Roundstone Elementary School in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky is seeking a Boys Basketball Coach to lead the junior high program.

Two positions available, immediate starting date, duties include supervising, coaching, and enforcing school, district, and KHSAA rules. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 64 college hours, and coaching experience in a school athletic program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 64 college semester hours from an accredited college or university.
• One year of experience coaching in a school athletic program.
• Criminal records check and current First Aid/CPR certification required; TB test and background checks completed before employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote and coach school athletic programs.
• Plan and organize practices.
• Teach fundamentals, team play, and game rules.
• Model good sportsmanship and self-control.
• Check participant eligibility and insurance coverage.
• Provide proper guidance and support to student athletes.
• Assist with equipment purchases as needed.
