Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of DIAA rules and regulations.
• Must complete Title IX and Athletics training.
• Must complete CPR and Concussion Training every two years.
• Must be familiar with Cape Henlopen School District Policy 118 & Policy 551.
• Equity initiatives and resources promoting diversity and inclusion.
• Must be aware of state DE policies for coaches and employees (Background checks, Child Protection Registry, TB tests).
• Experience with online systems such as Recruiting and Hiring and Google Docs.
• Must possess online, digital skills to maintain records and complete evaluations of coaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs to enhance player performance.
• Provide mentorship and support to players, fostering physical, mental, and emotional development.
• Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Analyze opponents and develop game plans to maximize team performance.
• Make real-time decisions during games to adapt strategies.
• Lead meetings and practices to review performance and plan future games.
• Collaborate with head coach and staff to ensure cohesive team operations.
• Assist with the selection of players and ensure adherence to rules and standards.
• Maintain open lines of communication with players, coaching staff, and families.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Track and analyze team and player performance metrics.
• Implement changes based on performance data.
• Assist in managing the team's schedule, including practices, games, and travel.
• Ensure compliance with DIAA rules and regulations.
