Job summary

Charlton Athletic Football Club | Boys Academy is seeking an Academy Education Lead for players aged 9–16 to align school learning with academy life. You will lead education across Foundation and Youth Development phases, coordinating with schools, families and coaches to ensure each player’s learning, progress and wellbeing are supported.

The role includes tracking attendance and attainment, providing regular feedback to schools, and helping adapt education support as needs change.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching at secondary level and understanding of an elite sporting environment.
• Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge and knowledge or experience of working with external agencies on young people’s welfare.
• Clear communication with children, families and professionals, and the organisation to coordinate support across schools and the academy.

Responsibilities

• Lead education for players aged 9–16 across Foundation and Youth Development phases.
• Coordinate with schools, families and coaches to monitor progress and provide support.
• Track attendance and attainment, provide half-termly feedback to schools, and review programme suitability.
