Job summary

Boyd Corp in Laconia, NH is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble subcomponents and perform bonding per customer specifications. You will mark parts and create top level assemblies using fixtures, tooling, and bonding agents.

You will read and interpret basic blueprints, perform first piece inspection with measuring equipment, maintain lot traceability, and work closely with Engineering to improve processes while keeping a clean, safe workspace and clear communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and interpret prints.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Accurate record keeping and lot traceability.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment and quality fixtures.

Assemble subcomponents and perform bonding to make the top level assembly per customer specifications using the provided process and tooling. Mark parts according to customer specifications.

Ii. Key Accountabilities.

• Perform basic math calculations.
• Perform first piece inspection on assigned jobs using visual or dimensional specifications using quality fixtures or measuring equipment.
• Perform accurate wanding and other record keeping tasks as required.
• Interpret basic blueprints.
• Apply bonding, pads, springs, pins, fans and other assorted hardware per print using fixtures, tooling, hand and power tools
• Perform assemblies using epoxy, solder, glue, silicon and other types of bonding agents per customer print.
• Create top level assembly using subcomponents made and purchased to the customer print.
• Work with Engineering on new assembly processes troubleshooting and improving procedures.
• Understand and adhere to lot trace ability.
• Maintain a safe clean working environment complying with all safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintain open communications with team leaders and supervisor.
• Perform all tasks as required by your supervisor.

Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
