Sterling North America Inc. is hiring a Box Truck Driver/Packer at our new Hauppauge facility on Long Island. The role runs 04:00 AM – 1:00 PM and involves packing, shipping, and transporting orders to customers.

Qualifikationen

• Valid NY driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read maps and follow directions.

• Able to lift/move items up to 50 lbs regularly.

• Available to work assigned shift and overtime if required.
• Proficient in English; Spanish knowledge preferred but not required.
• Follow safety standards and be on-call for emergencies.

How You'll Help Us Be Successful:

• Deliver and pick-up orders and returns
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
• Load and unload work and delivery vans and trucks
• Prepare all orders for shipment, fill and ship orders
• Operate a forklift, pack and shrink wrap boxes and skids
• Turn in receipts received from deliveries
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers
• Report any mechanical problems encountered delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to Supervisor or Manager

QualificationsWhat You'll Need To Be Successful:

• Valid NY driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Ability to read maps and follow written or verbal geographical directions
• Must be a team player, dependable and reliable
• Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 50lbs without assistance
• Good communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Must be available to work assigned shift and overtime if required
• Ability to follow orders with minimum supervision
• Ability to write and speak effectively in English
• Knowledge of Spanish preferred but not required
• Ability to follow safety standards
• Ability to be on-call for emergency situations
