Description

Planet Aid is seeking reliable box truck drivers for full-time positions with benefits, weekly pay, the opportunity for advancement, and consistent hours. Drivers will operate up to a 20-foot box truck collecting donated materials from Planet Aid's Collection bins.

Average pay for drivers: $22 an hour ($18/hour + weekly production bonus),

Pay: Weekly

Schedule: 8-hour days, weekdays only

Start time: Between 6 and 7 a.m.

Benefits: Medical, vision, dental, life/AD&D, vacation, sick time, holidays, and 401(k)

About the role:

The transportation responsibility of driving trucks of multiple sizes up to 20-foot box trucks and transporting material from host locations to Planet Aid Business Unit; the driver will service the sites and routes provided by Planet Aid. The employee will be responsible for collecting all bagged and loose clothes\shoes in and around the bins. The driver will also be responsible for the proper maintenance of the sites which includes cleaning and collecting all and disposing of any unusable items in and around the bins.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate safe/efficient driving skills
  • Comply with Federal, State, and Local laws and guidelines
  • Provide good customer service and the ability to communicate verbally with customers in a professional manner.
  • Service the donations bins designated on a route daily
  • Empty the donation bin, clean and collect eventual rubbish disposed of in and around the bins
  • Communicate with management about any problem or safety preoccupation taken
  • Must be prepared and flexible to perform associated and related job functions that are not specifically identified in this job description.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent years of experience in place of diploma
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card
  • Knowledge of FMCSA Guidelines and the ability to communicate per FMCSA;
  • An insurance accepted driving record
  • 2 years of commercial small-truck diving
