Job summary

Southern Tier is hiring a Box Truck Driver for our Lakewood, NY location. You will drive a Non-CDL box truck on a fixed route to deliver finished products and raw materials, while carefully loading and unloading, and completing required inspections.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to drive a Non-CDL box truck on scheduled routes.
• Certified Forklift Operator is a plus.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver finished products and raw materials on a Non-CDL box truck.
• Fulfill orders by picking products and delivering to customers.
• Safely operate forklift or similar equipment.
• Inspect vehicle and equipment before and after trips.
• Perform duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager.

This position requires the ability to routinely and repeatedly lift up to 55 pounds and maneuver 170 pounds repeatedly.Ability to use hands to perform fine manipulation, handle or feel, and must be able to reach with hands and arms.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a cool, damp environment (32 degrees and below), airborne particles, chemicals, and moving machinery.
