Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Delivery Specialist to join our team and serve customers with prompt, professional service in North Carolina. You will operate a company vehicle to deliver orders and maintain safe, timely schedules while upholding our service standards.

You will have opportunities to support yard tasks when deliveries slow, helping you reach weekly hours goals and grow with a growing, family-owned company that values honesty, hard work, and people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials and large items.
• A valid chauffeur or driver’s license (class C or D) as required by state.
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred.
• Demonstrated teamwork and a friendly, customer-service-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to customers safely and in a timely manner using a company vehicle.
• Ensure daily delivery schedules are met while delivering friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist in the yard if deliveries slow down to help reach weekly hours goals.

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record(some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
