Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders safely and on time to customers using a company vehicle. You will help meet daily delivery schedules, provide friendly and professional customer service, and may assist in the Yard to reach weekly hours.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience with building materials or large items preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Familiarity with delivery equipment and materials a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle.
• Ensure daily delivery schedules are met.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service upon delivery.
• Assist in the Yard to help reach weekly hours when deliveries slow down.

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record(some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
