Job summary

HandCraft Linen Services in Richmond, VA is seeking a Box Truck Driver to load linen carts, deliver products to customers, and maintain organized storage and accurate inventory per customer requirements under the Service Manager’s guidance. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of box truck experience, a valid license meeting DOT standards, and flexibility for nights, holidays, and weekends.

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential; lifting 30 pounds and pushing 450-pound carts

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience driving a box truck.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet DOT requirements.
• Able to drive nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Provide Virginia driving record at interview.
• Able to push linen carts up to 450 pounds and lift 30 pounds overhead.

Responsibilities

Location: Richmond, VA / Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, 7:30 AM Start, Home Daily / $21.67 Hourly with Excellent Benefits and Signing Bonus

Our Drivers

• Load linen carts onto trucks.
• Delivers the product to customers in a timely manner.
• Maintains a clean and organized storage area, and ensures the customer has enough linen for daily needs.
• Ensure a full inventory of each customer is completed, documented, and maintained on a regular basis at the direction of the Service Manager.
• Most importantly and without exception, the Box Truck Driver operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience driving a box truck
• Have a valid driver's license and a valid driver’s license, meets all DOT requirements, and is physically able to perform the duties of this position.
• Be able to drive nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Have strong communication and customer service skills required.
• Must have a minimum +2 and supply a copy of their Virginia driving record upon interview.
• Will be able to push the linen carts which weight up to 450 pounds and lift 30 pounds overhead.
