Job summary

Meyer is seeking an experienced box truck driver in Texas to join our growing family-owned team. You will drive company trucks on route deliveries, help with loading, and ensure DOT compliance while maintaining safety and reliability.

This full-time non-CDL position offers $20 per hour, Monday to Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with quarterly driver safety bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, 401K, paid vacations and holidays, plus opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience driving 26-28 ft box trucks or similar for a 10,001+ lb GVWR vehicle.
• Valid truck driver license with appropriate state endorsement.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks, and DOT medical examiners card.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries and meet schedules.
• Load and unload deliveries; maneuver trucks into position.
• Comply with trucking rules and regulations; inspect vehicles for safety.

Schedule for Box Truck Delivery Driver (non CDL):

Box Truck Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Heavy lifting 75+lbs.

Requirements for Box Truck Driver (non CDL):

• 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. (Required)
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
