Job summary

MEYER LOGISTICS INC is seeking an experienced Box Truck Driver for route deliveries in Texas. This non-CDL role requires safety consciousness, reliability, and the ability to complete required paperwork in a timely manner.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., with a $20 per hour wage and quarterly safety bonus. Benefits include health coverage, 401K with company match, paid vacation and holidays, and paid orientation.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience driving 26-28 ft box trucks or similar vehicles over 10,001 lbs.
• Valid driver license with state endorsement.
• Willing to submit to drug screens and maintain a valid DOT medical card.

Responsibilities

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Load and unload deliveries, maneuvering within loading areas.
• Comply with truck driving rules and DOT regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and perform basic maintenance; report defects.

Schedule for Box Truck Delivery Driver (non CDL):

• $20
• Monday — Friday
• 5:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (End Time Varies on Most Days Due to Workload / Coverage)

Box Truck Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Heavy lifting 75 lbs.

Requirements for Box Truck Driver (non CDL):

• 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. (Required)
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
