Job description

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Box Truck Driver to serve our supply chain organization department in a safe and timely manner. Route driving and delivery of cannabis products to our retail locations and third-party retailers that carry our products. Cannabis industry experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive all heavy-duty vehicle types.
• Pick up, load, and transport finished products directly to the customer.
• Follow routes and time schedules.
• Package product and operate delivery vehicle.
• Receive feedback on services and resolve client complaints.
• Collect payments, handle cash and change.
• Complete logs and reports.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns; perform preventative maintenance.
• Comply with driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) and with company policies and procedures.
• Assist with store delivery and pickup, loading and unloading, removing dunnage and pallets.
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
• Perform work under direct supervision; handle basic issues and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Diligent, punctual, and ready to work.
• Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience

• Ability to drive heavy-duty vehicles and cargo van.
• Understanding of truck driving laws (e.g., weight stations, speed, paperwork recording).
• Trucking school diploma or certifications preferred, but not required.
• Proven working experience as a delivery driver in any industry.

Pay and Requirements

The pay rate for this role is from $20.00 to $23.00/hour.

• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Valid California driver's license with 0 points; no accidents in 3 years.
• Clean driving record.
• Available for on-site operations work Monday–Friday.
• Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities; may require weekends and holidays as needed.
• Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.
• Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time.
• Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (hot or cool).
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and twist for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 50 lbs. to a height of 5 feet and carry such weight for 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization\'s facilities.
