Job summary

Premier Packaging is looking for a full-time Box Truck Driver in Glendale Heights, IL. You will deliver materials, load/unload, and maintain safety on every trip. Valid driver's license and medical certificate are required, along with a clean driving record.

The role includes overtime, weekend work, and opportunities for growth within a fast-growing packaging solutions company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. alone and up to 50 lbs. assisted.
• Valid driver’s license and medical certificate.
• Clean driving record required.
• Overtime and some weekend work are required.
• Ability to load and unload corrugated materials onto/from the box truck.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and routine inspections.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to customers or destinations.
• Load and unload corrugated materials onto and from the box truck.
• Adhere to safety protocols during transportation and delivery.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the box truck.
• Report any issues or delays promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and confirmations.
• Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries.

Shift:

• Monday - Friday
• 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Expected Hours:

• 40 Hours
• Overtime When Needed

Pay Frequency:

• Bi-Weekly

Essential Functions:

• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials to customers or other specified destinations.
• Load and unload corrugated materials onto and from the box truck.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during transportation and delivery.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the box truck.
• Report any mechanical issues, delays, or incidents promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations and any discrepancies.
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse associates, supervisors, and other team members.

Qualifications: Education / Physical / Requirements

• 2-3 years of previous experience as a box truck driver
• Overtime hours are a requirement, as well as some weekend work.
• Ability to load and unload corrugated materials onto and from the box truck.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to perform routine inspections.
• Ability to address customer inquiries or concerns.
