Job summary

Carter Lumber Townsend Building Supply in Alabama is seeking a Delivery Specialist who can transport orders to customers safely and on time using a company vehicle. You will meet daily delivery schedules while delivering friendly, professional customer service.

If deliveries slow, you may help in the yard to reach weekly hours goals. The position offers full-time benefits including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, a 401(k), paid vacation and holidays, and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience preferred with building materials and large items
• Good driving record; class C or D license may be required depending on state
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is helpful

Description
As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
