Job summary

TOMRA, operating as Clynk, is hiring a Box Truck Driver in Bristol, CT to transport used beverage containers and store supplies safely and on schedule.

You will operate the box truck, prepare documentation, load and unload cargo, and maintain contact with the dispatcher for instructions. A valid license, clean driving record, and GPS familiarity are required. Full-time and part-time shifts available with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience driving box trucks is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and route navigation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with a safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate a box truck to transport cargo between destinations.

• Load, secure, and unload cargo.
• Maintain contact with dispatcher for instructions and schedule changes.

PAY: Starts at $21

Full time and part time shifts available

Job Description

Operates a box truck that transports cargo to and from specified destinations

• Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods to ensure timely service
• Loads, secures and unloads cargo
• Maintains radio or telephone contact with dispatcher to receive delivery or pick up instructions or to receive notice of changes in scheduled delivery or pick up
• Maintains logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Box Truck Driver
• A valid driver’s license
• Must have a "satisfactory" driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Ability to lift heavy packages, up to 50lbs +
• Availability to occasionally take weekend shifts
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• A high school diploma
