Job summary

Fenix Parts in Rahway, NJ is seeking a full-time Delivery Driver to handle home-daily routes, load and unload automotive parts, and perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. You will be the face of the company while delivering parts and assisting customers with their needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional driving experience.
• Safe driving record with no more than 1 accident and no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs during deliveries.
• Proficient with PCs, tablets and smartphone apps.
• Valid driver’s license with no major restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Route management: plan and execute home-daily delivery routes.
• Loading and unloading: safely handle automotive parts and prevent damage.
• Vehicle inspections: perform pre- and post-trip checks for safety and performance.
• Customer interaction: deliver parts and assist customers, providing receipts as needed.
• Documentation: complete and submit paperwork accurately at route end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Route Management: Handle home-daily delivery routes, planning daily schedules based on customer needs.
• Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload automotive parts, adhering to all safety protocols while preventing freight damage.
• Vehicle Inspections: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to your assigned box truck to ensure optimal safety and vehicle performance.
• Customer Interaction: You are the face of the company. Deliver parts accurately and collect payments, presenting bills and receipts professionally while assisting customers with any need that may arise.
• Documentation: Complete and submit all required paperwork neatly and accurately at the end of your route.

Requirements:

• Driving Experience: 1+ years in a professional driving role while operating 20-foot box trucks or similar.
• Safety: Must have a safe driving record with no more than 1 accident, and no more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years on your motor vehicle record.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift 75 lbs. throughout the day and manage high volume physical activity during deliveries as we offload and load automotive parts at each customer’s location.
• Skills: Ability to identify various automotive parts and be proficient with the use of PCs, tablets, and smartphone mobile apps.
• Certifications: A valid driver’s license with no major restrictions.
