Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a shift worker to assemble boxes by hand or on a box machine, unload boxes from trucks with a forklift, and deliver materials to the box room while strictly adhering to PPE and safety guidelines.

The role requires standing up to 8 hours, lifting up to 60 lbs, and working nights, weekends, and holidays. On-the-job training and day-one benefits are provided as the company supports employee development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Relative poultry industry experience preferred.
• Basic math functions and skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Move unmade box material from truck using hydraulic hand trucks (weight approx. 400 lbs) and carry stacks of box material (5–15 lbs).
• Lift material and place into box machine bracket.
• Retrieve glue from supply room using dolly.
• Perform lockout/tagout during light maintenance and cleanup.
• Put trash and crushed boxes in trash receptacle.
• Transport boxes to wing belt and place lids on lid track.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE at all times.
