Job summary

Job description

Coordinate all the baking process: material to bake, baking cycles, ovens operating conditions, tables and setting equipment flow, baking process needs.

Pull & transfer appropriate material required to support production in molding and finishing manufacturing areas. Deliver setting equipment to presses and raw materials to backflush locations as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY

• Comply with ISO Environmental Policies as it pertains to the company and job.
• Performs SMAT audits when required thought out the year.
• Performs "One Minute to Think" before starting any assigned job.
• Able to read PPE assessment forms and comply with PPE requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining the workstation per 5S guidelines, which includes maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Complies with Company policies (Safety, Documented Procedure, etc.).
• Places green waste in appropriate designated labeled containers and makes sure are properly baked according to the procedure. Examples of waste are: green waste
• Drives powered industrial vehicles assigned for moving materials in box ovens

QUALITY

• Follow ISO9000 and 14001 baking procedures.
• Coordinate the cured materials have satisfactory meet the quality and safety requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Able to work overtime as required and be flexible with assigned or rotating shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and hours (8, 10, 12 hrs.) when needed.
• Must be able to rotate in different location such as Molding, Finishing.
• Program and operate box ovens, including interpretation of baking cycles, temperatures, graphs, trends, identification of trouble on equipment and work in coordination with maintenance department as needed.
• Cross train with Molding and Finishing supervisors to be a back up of these positions if needed.
• Operate various materials handling equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, platforms, reach outs or hand trucks to move, convey and store material or finished goods.
• Comply with all Company policies, procedures, and business controls.
• Works on specific projects assigned by immediate supervisor, including 1-month rotations between Warehouse and Manufacturing Forklift Driving.
• Participate in WCM activities via leading teams, learning routes, using basic tools, and training as needed

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned on supervisor discretion.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Posses ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Possess ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret all forms of graphs.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be certified to operate powered material handling equipment. (Forklift)

WORKING CONDITIONS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; therefore, protection is required as indicated in the PPE sheet. Other PPE requirements include safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
