Job Summary

The Hammer Theatre is seeking a Box Office Supervisor to overseebox office operations, including ticketing, customer service,financial reporting, event support, and the hiring, training, andscheduling of student assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and mentor student box officeassistants

  • Knowledge of box office ticketing systems, preferably VBO(Virtual Box Office)
  • Experience with event management software such as VenueOps,When I Work
  • Experience in cash handling
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, PowerPoint,Word, Excel)
  • Ability to sell tickets from an online, cloud based ticketingsystem, either in person or over the phone
  • Knowledge of performing arts venues front-of-houseoperations
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of a high school program, technical/vocationalprogram, or their equivalents
  • Three (3) years of related office work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree in performing arts, hospitality orbusiness
  • One (1) to Three (3) years’ experience working in a presentingor university theatre environment
  • Experience with VBO ticketing system
Compensation

Classification: Administrative Support Coordinator II

Anticipated Hiring Range: $4,727/month - $5,219/month (Step 5 –Step 10)

CSU Salary Range: $4,367/month - $6,362/month (Step 1 – Step20)
