Rail Events Productions is seeking a Box Office Supervisor for THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride. You will greet guests, verify reservations, and assist with ticket redemption and seating, using Etix.

Join a high-energy Front of House team managing guests through ticketing, parking, and waiting areas while ensuring accuracy and a positive guest experience in a dynamic, seasonal environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service or front-of-house roles preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn the Etix Ticketing platform.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and confirm reservations.
  • Assist customers with ticket redemption and seating inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate customer data in the Etix system.
  • Support Box Office team with daily reporting and breaks.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming ticketing area.

Job Title: Box Office Supervisor - THE POLAR EXPRESS Train RideDivision/Department: Rail Events Productions/Front of HouseReports To: Rail Events Inc. (REI) Business ManagerType of position: Non-exempt/HourlyEmployee Classification: SeasonalCompensation: $20.00hourlyJob Summary:The Box Office Supervisor is responsible for setting the first impression of the event, so efficiency and friendliness are required. The position will be responsible for warmly greeting customers, confirming reservations, redemption of tickets, passing out of Golden Ticket prop, and directing patrons as needed. The Box Office Supervisor will manage responsibilities with a balance of patience and a sense of urgency, work well under pressure, have strong multi-tasking skills, and most importantly have a pleasant demeanor.Belonging to the Front of House team is an excellent opportunity to learn the business side of production and be the first interaction our guests experience. The high-energy logistics of moving guests through parking, the box office, waiting areas and onto their departure on time with all the amenities needed for the production is extremely rewarding, knowing guests are on their way to making lasting memories with loved ones. The Front of House team is also an integral part of providing customer service to our guests and support to cast and crew on the ground.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Act as an example to, and assist in leading, the Box Office teamAct as a liaison between the Box Office Agents and the FOH & Business ManagerWelcome customers and assist the team with any service needsHandle customer inquiries and ensure a pleasant customer experienceConfirm reservations, ensuring passengers have arrived at the appropriate date and timeBecome familiar with the ETix ticketing system (Etix ticketing system training will be provided)Make any necessary updates to customers’ information, entering into the system and ensure that proper information has been punched in prior to delivering ticketsAssist customers with rebooking missed departures or seating issues and making reservation adjustments to orders with incorrect ticket productsAcquire knowledge of on-board experience, performance highlights, and venue facility and act as the point of reference for guests who need assistance or event informationAssist Front of House Manager with reports when neededAssist the Front of House Manager in ensuring that the Box Office team is taking their proper breaks and lunchOversee that the Box Office agents are staying on task and support as neededAssist in general care of ticketing area including keeping a clean and orderly spaceMaintain a safe, welcoming, positive, and inclusive working environment and advises other management with related concernsOther duties as assignedEducation, Skill & Work Experience Requirements:Ability to learn the Etix Ticketing platform with efficiency and competencyStrong leadership and communication skillsExcellent customer service skillsBasic computer skillsAbility to work weekends and eveningsPossess a well-spoken manner in personal communicationsFront desk, reservation, customer service experience preferredSelf-motivation and attention to detailsMust be 18 or overWork Environment:Majority of time spent in a ticketing office settingAble to work in cold, snowy, or otherwise inclement winter weatherVaried schedule requiring evenings, weekends, overtime, and holidaysAble to stand for prolonged periods of timeAble to stand and walk on uneven or unsteady surfaces aboard a moving trainTime spent in and around active railroad yard(s)What’s in it for you?Serve others and create a world of make believe and magicGreat industry pay and a chance to build upon your theater network and make lifelong connectionsEnrich and positively impact the experience for all – big and smallBe part of an inclusive team in a supportive environment with high expectations for self and your fellow teammatesCatered meals for 5-show daysComp tickets for your friends and familyPotential for end of season bonusWorking on THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride is unlike anything you will ever do.
