Job summary

NAVSTA Mayport Bowling Center is seeking a service-oriented individual to manage front counter duties, oversee league play, and support open play and snack bar operations. The role emphasizes accurate transactions, customer service, and adherence to MWR policies.

The incumbent will perform assigned tasks in a specific bowling center area, with daily assignments dependent on staffing needs and individual strengths. Experience in POS and basic computer use is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Learn MWR policies and bowling program rules.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Basic reading comprehension to follow SOPs and guides.
• Basic custodial tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping).
• Basic computer operations and keypad skills including POS systems.
• Basic arithmetic calculations (addition/subtraction/multiplication/division).
• Basic customer service delivery methods to identify needs and resolve issues.
• Basic understanding of Morale, Welfare and Recreation department.

Responsibilities

• Operate front counter duties for the bowling center (open and league play).
• Assist with snack bar counter duties as needed.
• Provide friendly customer service at the front counter and help players with check-in and reservations.
• Maintain cleanliness and basic custodial tasks as required.
• Use point of sale systems and desktop computers for transactions and record-keeping.
