Job summary

The Darcy Hotel Washington DC is seeking a Cook to join a polished team responsible for preparing food of consistent quality and supporting kitchen operations at 1515 Rhode Island Ave NW, Washington, DC 20005.

Responsibilities include following recipes, managing portions, rotating stock, and maintaining equipment. The position is full-time, hourly, with benefits and opportunities to grow within Northwood Hospitality, LLC.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Dexterity to operate kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule.
• English language communication required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, avoiding over-preparation.
• Date and rotate perishables per standards and keep buffet stocked.
• Check pars for shift use and assist in maintaining stock and cold chain.
• Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment safely.
• Attend regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
