Job description

Bottling Plant Process Engineer

The Process Engineer designs and maintains reliable and safe production systems while improving material utilization, uptime, yield, and rate attainment to reduce manufacturing expenses. The Process Engineer will identify, develop, and implement innovative solutions to improve process capability that meet or exceed requirements.

III. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

  • B.S. or B.A. in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years working in an engineering position in a manufacturing environment
  • Formal Continuous Improvement Certification such as CQE, LEAN Gold, Six Sigma, or similar
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a Continuous Improvement role
  • Strong knowledge of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) policies is a plus
  • Previous experience with Fortech data management software is preferred
IV. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
  • Design and specify equipment and production processes
  • Create or modify process flow diagrams and CAD drawings
  • Analyze production data and support data collection activities
  • Lead or support process improvement initiatives to meet organizational cost savings goals
  • Complete projects on time and within budget
  • Communicate progress using daily management tools like huddle boards
  • Pursue continuous improvement activities to achieve world-class performance
  • Lead kaizen events to improve process reliability
  • Support Autonomous and Total Productive Maintenance initiatives
  • Communicate with customers regarding process issues and improvements
  • Investigate abnormalities and facilitate corrective actions
  • Support safety and quality initiatives across the organization
  • Manage changes following MOC procedures
  • Comply with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security regulations
  • Adhere to RC14001 standards and manage hazardous waste appropriately
  • Perform other duties as assigned
