Job summary

Albanese Confectionery Group, Inc. in Merrillville, IN is seeking a dependable team member to support production flows, maintain sanitary conditions, and follow all SOPs.

You will read scales and tape measures, lift up to 25 pounds regularly, stand for a 12-hour shift, and work safely with the team to meet daily goals. This role emphasizes accountability and adherence to HACCP/GMP standards.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift with applicable breaks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to maintain production flow of operational work areas.
  • Works cooperatively and effectively with fellow team members.
  • Operate and maintain production support equipment.
  • Complete daily paperwork with proper documentation practices.
  • Confirms and documents materials used in manufacturing processes.
  • Perform inspections of products for non-conforming conditions.
  • Identify and label products correctly.
  • Understand and adhere to quality requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, leaders, and supervisors.
  • Support startup, changeover, cleaning, and shutdown tasks.

SCOPE

This position reports to the specific operational Department in Operations. They support work activities in operational areas as needed. They also support other operational activities in other departments as directed by management

Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support to maintain production flow of operational work areas
  • Works cooperatively and effectively with fellow team members

  • Confirms and documents materials used in manufacturing processes
  • Perform inspections of products for non-conforming conditions
  • Correctly identify and label products
  • Understand and adhere quality requirements
  • Communicate effectively with team members, leaders, and supervisors
  • Support and perform tasks related to startup, changeover, cleaning, and shutdown of work areas

and equipment

  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and ensure proper sanitation procedures are adhered to
  • Interpret and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures
  • Comply with all company Quality, HACCP, GMP and Food Safety Standards
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be able to maintain sanitary conditions for Food Safety.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Must be able to read and interpret weight scale readings and tape measures.
  • Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds consistently and 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of a 12-hour shift with applicable breaks.
EDUCATION
  • Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
