Job summary

TotalMed Allied in Boston, MA is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment, offering 40 hours per week with 10-hour day shifts.

The US Tech will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure accurate images for interpretation, prepare exam rooms, assist Radiologists, and maintain patient records. Familiarity with McKesson PACS is a plus.

Required: 1 year of experience, BLS, ARDMS certifications, and any state licensing when required.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience.
• Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing when required.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or families regarding procedures performed.
• Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe areas of concern.
• Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures.
• Report abnormalities to appropriate medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report malfunctions.
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on results.
