Job summary

American Traveler is recruiting a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Boston, MA. The role features rotating day shifts (4x10 hours), performing abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and some vascular exams, and assisting physicians in sterile procedures.

ARDMS certification is required; transplant, dopplers, and renal artery stenosis experience is expected. MA license is required if applicable; PACS will be used for image recording.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required.
• ARDMS ABD and RVT certifications preferred.
• Experience in transplants, dopplers, and renal artery stenosis required.
• MA license required if applicable.
• Must be able to interview patients, select equipment and transducers, and position patients appropriately.
• Experience performing high level disinfection of ultrasound transducers (e.g., Trophon EPR system).

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and some vascular exams.
• Assist physicians during sterile invasive procedures such as amniocenteses, cyst punctures, thoracenteses, and biopsies.
• Perform procedures outside the Ultrasound Suite including OR, ICU, ED, and nursing floors using portable ultrasound equipment.
• Use PACS system for recording images.
• Provide preliminary interpretation in daily logbook and convey findings to radiologist after discussion.
