Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel Pediatric RN for a 13-week assignment in Boston, MA. This role offers 40 hours per week, days shift, and a supportive clinical team in a hospital setting.

You will assess pediatric patients, administer medications, and coordinate with families to develop age-appropriate care plans while upholding patient safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• One year of recent pediatric RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.

Responsabilités

• Explain procedures to children and families to foster understanding and alleviate fear.
• Administer prescribed medications with pediatric dosing and delivery considerations.
• Prepare and manage pediatric equipment, assisting physicians during treatment and examination.
• Ensure comfort and safety of pediatric patients, addressing developmental needs and minimizing distress.
• Observe patient conditions, document assessments, and report significant changes to the team.
• Take vital signs and monitor patient status to detect deviations and respond appropriately.
• Respond to life-threatening situations following hospital policies and protocols.
• Document patient assessments and interventions in the medical record.
• Develop patient and family education plans on treatment and medications.
• Collaborate with families to implement care plans for pediatric patients.
