Job summary

Costello Medical is offering a 3‑month internship in statistics in our Boston office. You will gain hands‑on experience in critically appraising statistics, planning and analysing clinical trial data, and synthesising evidence with one‑to‑one training from our experienced team.

We welcome graduates and current students, with opportunities to extend to six months and potentially move into a permanent Statistician role. Start dates in 2026 will be confirmed on application.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a scientific or mathematical discipline with a focus on statistics and data analysis.
• Master's or PhD would be highly advantageous for advanced statistical work.
• Proficiency in R and Excel; strong analytical and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Critically appraise and interpret complex statistics across datasets.
• Plan and analyse clinical trial data using R, Excel, Stan and BUGS where appropriate.
• Synthesize evidence and communicate methodologies and results to stakeholders.
• Receive extensive one‑to‑one training from the Statistics team and work on multiple projects.
