Job summary

Swissport is seeking a seasoned leader to oversee day-to-day into-plane and ground support equipment fueling operations, including scheduling, budgeting, quality audits, and performance management.

The role focuses on meeting customer service standards, compliance with aviation regulations, and driving KPI performance across safety, timeliness, and financial targets. A College degree and significant management experience are required.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred.
  • Eight years into-plane experience, with five years in a management role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and efficient operation to achieve KPI targets and cost control.
  • Ensure customer standards are met and contract services are performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  • Comply with FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S. Customs and other rules.
  • Monitor staff time/attendance and manage overtime accordingly.
  • Liaise with customers, airport authorities and government representatives.
  • Coach/discipline staff per policy and review reports for service adequacy.
  • Aim to achieve location KPIs for incident, on-time performance and financials.

Job Summary

Responsible for day-to-day safe and efficient operation of into-plane and GSE fueling operations including activity scheduling, manpower planning, fuel quality audits, budgeting/forecasting, and performance management. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that customer service standards are met, and contract services are performed.

The expected salary is $85,000-$95,000 annually. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.

Your activities
  • Actively (through subordinate staff members) maintain a safe and efficient operation to effect operational efficiency and economy.
  • Accountable for ensuring customer standards are met and contract services are performed.
  • Ensures that company safety and health policies are enforced.
  • Ensures that FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S. Customs, airport authority and Company rules and regulations are complied with.
  • Ensures compliance with ATA 103 Fuel Quality Control Specification, NFPA 407 and FAR Part 139.321.
  • Through subordinate staff members monitors time and attendance tracking and manages staff to reduce dependence on overtime.
  • Liaise regularly with all customers, airport authority and governmental agency representatives.
  • Coach/counsel, discipline employees who violate company policy.
  • Confers with branch administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating and sales reports to determine adequacy of services or determines changes as required.
  • Achieve location, employee and aircraft incident/accident KPIs.
  • Achieve location on-time performance KPIs.
  • Achieve location financial performance KPIs.
Your profile
  • College Level Degree preferred
  • Minimum of eight years into-plane experience, with five years in a management role required.
  • Must have strong organizational skills, detailed oriented
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical or operating procedures or government regulations, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge and work experience with Windows Office programs including Word, Excel, Power point
