Job summary

Customs and Border Protection is seeking full-time CBPOs for entry and mid-level roles across the United States. You will enforce border, immigration, and trade laws, conduct inspections, and determine admissibility for entry into the United States.

This position offers robust federal benefits and potential incentives to prioritize certain duty locations. Selections are at GS-5/7/9 levels, with overtime eligibility and a comprehensive Thrift Savings Plan.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Three years of general experience or education substitution can qualify for GS levels.
• Residency requirements must be met as outlined in the posting.
• Successful completion of required training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center is required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Inspect individuals and conveyances.
• Determine admissibility of entrants to the United States.
• Prevent illegal entry and smuggling of contraband.
