Salary for CBPOs ranges by grade (GS-5 to GS-9), with potential advancement to GS-11/GS-12. Base pay starts at $41,863 per year and can reach $127,464, plus up to $45,000 overtime and a Thrift Savings Plan retirement.

Qualificações

• GS-5: minimum 3 years general experience or a bachelor's degree; education substitution allowed.
• GS-7: 1 year specialized experience or higher education substitutions as described.
• GS-9: 1 year specialized experience at the next level with multiple pathways.

Responsabilidades

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture law and regulations.
• Enforcing the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods and smuggling.
