Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring full-time Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPO) at entry and mid-level. The role encompasses enforcing laws at borders, supervising the flow of travel and trade, and performing inspections to determine admissibility.

Eligible candidates may receive incentives and comprehensive federal benefits. Selections span GS-5 to GS-9 with potential career advancement to higher grades, and include attractive overtime and retirement options.

Formación

• GS-5 requires 3 years of general experience or a bachelor’s degree or a combination of experience and education.
• GS-7 requires 1 year of specialized experience or equivalent.
• GS-9 requires 1 year of specialized experience or graduate-level education or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Ensuring flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining admissibility of entrants into the United States.
• Preventing illegal entry and smuggling of prohibited goods.
