Job summary

Qualifications

• GS-5 requires 3 years of general experience or 1 year at GS-4, or a conferred bachelor's degree.

• GS-9 requires 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level or higher education substitutions.

Responsibilities

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Ensure the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conduct inspections of persons and conveyances.
• Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Prevent illegal entry and smuggling of contraband.
