Qualifications

• GS-7: At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level and related inspection duties.
• GS-9: Minimum 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of CBP laws, regulations, and procedures; ability to apply them in border security operations.
• Citizenship, residency, and age requirements apply; successful completion of training at FLETC will be required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Ensure the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conduct inspections of persons and conveyances.
• Determine admissibility of entrants to the United States.
• Prevent illegal entry and contraband, including drugs.
