Job summary

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a CBPO to join a high‑priority federal law enforcement team. You will enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws, inspect individuals and conveyances, and determine admissibility for entry to the United States.

Qualifications

• GS-5: A minimum of 3 years of general experience or a conferred bachelor's degree or a combination of experience and education.
• GS-7: One year of specialized experience or a bachelor's degree with SAA or graduate-level education.
• GS-9: One year of specialized experience or advanced education or a combination with knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture law and regulations;
• Enforcing the flow of legitimate trade and travel;
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances;
• Determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States; and
• Preventing the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods and the smuggling of illegal drugs and other contraband
