Job summary

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring full-time Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPO) across multiple duty locations in the United States. Education or prior general/public safety experience may qualify for entry and mid-level career roles, with a strong emphasis on lawful border enforcement and public service.

Along with competitive base pay and federal benefits, CBP offers recruitment incentives of up to $15,000 per year under a multi-location program, plus overtime eligibility

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture law and regulations.
• Ensuring the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Preventing the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods and the smuggling of illegal drugs and other contraband.
