Customs and Border Protection is hiring CBPOs of entry to mid-level for multiple duty locations in the United States. The role offers base pay within GS-5 to GS-12 grade levels with opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and the Thrift Savings Plan.

The position requires qualifying education or general/public safety experience, successful completion of a rigorous training program, and a strong commitment to national security.

Formación

• Knowledge of CBP laws, regulations, and precedents as they apply to inspections and enforcement.
• Ability to evaluate facts, make rapid, accurate judgments and apply procedures.
• Experience with interviewing and observing individuals for compliance and risk assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture law and regulations.
• Inspect persons, documents, and goods for compliance and risk.
• Determine admissibility of entrants to the United States; prevent illegal entry and contraband.
• Promote lawful trade and travel through inspections and enforcement actions.
