U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) to enforce border and trade laws across multiple duty locations in the United States.

This full-time position offers a pathway from GS-5 through GS-9, with varied education or experience qualifications and a strong benefits package. New CBPOs may receive up to $15,000 per year incentive for prioritized locations, and base salaries range from $41,863 to $127,464 annually depending on grade.

Formación

• GS-5: 3 years general experience or 1 year at GS-4, or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
• GS-7: 1 year of specialized experience
• GS-9: 1 year of specialized experience or advanced degree.
• The CBP Officer requirements include knowledge of inspections, immigration and customs laws, and enforcement procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Enforce customs, immigration and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Inspect individuals and conveyances.
• Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Prevent illegal entry and smuggling of contraband.
