Qualifications

• GS-5 requires 3 years general experience or 1 year at GS-4.
• Education substitution allows a Bachelor's degree.
• GS-7/GS-9 require inspections, evaluating facts, and applying laws.

Responsibilities

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Oversee flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determine admissibility of individuals for entry to the United States.
• Prevent illegal entry and smuggling of contraband.
