Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is hiring Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPO) at the GS-5, GS-7, and GS-9 grades with promotion potential to GS-11 and GS-12. These roles involve enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws, inspecting individuals and conveyances, and ensuring the lawful flow of travel and trade.

CBPOs receive competitive base pay, extensive federal benefits, annual leave, and access to the Thrift Savings Plan.

Qualifications

• GS-5/7/9 eligibility based on education or experience in public safety or law enforcement.
• Ability to meet and deal with people; aptitude for learning and applying law enforcement procedures.

Responsabilités

• Ensuring flow of legitimate trade and travel and conducting inspections.
• Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States; preventing illegal entry and contraband.
