U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks a Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO) to join the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) corps. Positions are full-time at entry and mid-level, with education or prior public safety experience qualifying applicants.

Salary ranges are provided with incentives and extensive benefits. Duty locations include a spread of U.S. sites; Honolulu is specifically highlighted for prioritized recruitment incentives.

Qualifications

• GS-5: 3 years general experience (1 year at GS-4) OR bachelor's degree OR combination of experience and education.
• GS-7: 1 year specialized experience at next lower grade level.
• GS-9: 1 year specialized experience at next lower grade level OR graduate degree OR combination of experience and education.

Responsabilités

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Enforcing the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Preventing the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods and the smuggling of illegal drugs and other contraband.
