Job summary

Qualifications

• GS‑5: minimum three years of general work experience.
• GS‑7: one year specialized experience at the next lower grade, including physical inspections, evaluating facts, reviewing documentation, and making determinations.
• U.S. citizenship and primary U.S. residency for at least three years within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations.
• Facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel.
• Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
• Determining the admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States.
• Preventing illegal entry and smuggling of contraband.
