Responsibilities

• Prevent and apprehend undocumented noncitizens and smugglers near borders, using surveillance and night operations.
• Interpret tracks, marks, and evidence of illegal entry.
• Perform farm, building, traffic, city, and transportation checks as part of routine patrols.
• Patrol international boundaries and coastal waterways using vehicles, horses, vessels, or other assets.
